Whatever the event, Skinny Dip Tanning will provide the perfect glow so you feel confident

1. Do your research! Finding the right spray tan professional is super important. Research spray tan salons with experts who specialize in custom mixing solutions, that way you know your skin is in the right hands (hint: that’s me)

2. Explain to your artist what your goals are and trust their recommendations. When it comes to picking the right shade for your skin, trust your professional to guide you. Brides, this is especially important for you! You want to photograph well!

3. Schedule spray tan trial sessions. If you’re a spray tanning connoisseur, this may not apply to you. However, if you’re new to sunless tanning, be sure that the look that you’re trying to achieve is right. Again, brides! Make sure you love the shade.

4. Don’t spray over old tan! I promise you, a well exfoliated, clean and fresh canvas is what you want for a spray tan. We don’t paint over old nail polish do we?? We should not be spraying over old tan.

5. Exfoliate your skin. You will want to exfoliate your skin with an exfoliating mitt at least 24 hours before your appointment. You can add sugar scrubs if you’re feeling fancy. I do NOT recommend exfoliating with any mineral oil based products or salt scrubs. It will leave you patchy.

6. BUT! DONT EXFOLIATE OR SHAVE THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. You shouldn't use any scrubs, oils or lotions the day of the appointment. These products leave a film that can create a barrier.

7. Don’t use soap for your first rinse. We love that our solutions don’t give off the harsh chemical smell that other spray tan companies have. Skip the soap on your first rinse to allow your tan to continue to develop for the next 24 hours.

8. Get your other services before your tan. I recommend getting your facials and pedicures/manicures at least 24 hours before your tan so that there's no accidental removal of the tan.

9. Don’t let your dog lick off your tan. I hate to say that you should keep your precious pets away, but while you develop, you should try to keep their licks off your gorgeous glow to avoid patches. We can touch you up if it happens, don’t worry!

10. ASK QUESTIONS! If you are wondering something or are not sure how to care for your tan, PLEASE call me and ask. I want you to feel your BEST and the MOST CONFIDENT. Call me any time. Seriously.
